Their court appearance emanates after the incident that happened in the Bochabela area of Bloemfontein.
Free State Policespokesperson Sergent Sinah Mpakane said it was on 28 April 2025 at about 4:08 in the morning, Mangaung police were called to the scene of murder at Hostel 1 on the street in Bochabela, Bloemfontein. On arrival, they found a body of a 40-year-old victim, Tshepo Mosola, with stab wounds on the chest and an open wound on the head.
It is alleged that the suspects were accusing the deceased of attempting to rape one of them. The suspects stabbed the deceased with a sharp object on the chest and hit him with a blunt object on the head. The body of the deceased was transported to the state mortuary by the pathologist. Suspects were arrested on the scene. Investigations continue.
Their matter has been postponed to the 9 May 2025 for a formal bail application.
