Music lovers were left dissapointed when Award winning Gqom singer Babes Wodumo and Maskandi artist Mthandeni “Igcokama Elisha” Manqele failed to perform at the Talent’s Car Wash in Eshowe in KwaZulu Natal on Saturday.

This comes after the Wololo and Gucci singers failed to arrive and perform at that Talent Carwash in the annual event.
The angry fans who came out in large numbers to see their favourite artists were annoyed and attempted to throw bottles to the MC of the day who kept promising them that the singers were on their way.
Patrons who waited for the whole night told MDN News that they felt betrayed by the event organizers who kept promising them that the artists were on the road to the event.
“I’m annoyed that these people lie to us and promised us Babes Wodumo and Mthandeni when they knew that they had other commitments. I was irriated by the MC who kept telling us that they were on their way. We patiently waited for them to come until the Sunday morning. They were suposed to refund us. I went there specifically for Babes and Mthanndeni,” said the music lover.
Another patron told MDN News that the event organizers dodged when they started protesting.
“The event organizers decides to and hide in their vehicles fearing that we may demand our money back. They made sure that we don’t see them ans they left everything with the MC of the day,” patron said.
When Mthandeni was contacted for comment, he refused and hung up.
Babes Wodumo’s Manager Nondumiso Simelane daid that they failed to honour th event because they were not paid for the booking.
“It was an unpaid event. A favour to a friend so because of time, we had gigs plus a gig in Mpumalanga which we couldn’t risk paid events for an unpaid one,” she said.
