More boots on the ground leads to a foreign national bust with illegal firearm, ammunitions and violations of Immigration Act

POLOKWANE – Operation Safer Festive Season continues unabated, when members of Masemola Police Station and K9 Unit approached Ga-Mashabela Makantane shop and requested to search on the 30 December 2024 at 12:30.

During the search, a firearm, 17 rounds of live ammunitions and one magazine were found in possession of a 24 year old foreign national. He could not provide the SAPS members with a license and also he did not have document to be in South Africa.

He was arrested for Possession of illegal firearm, ammunitions and violation of immigration Act. He will appear on the 02 January 2025 in a local Magistrate Court.
