Media Statement BLOEMSPRUIT – Zero tolerance against drugs and crime is implemented in the Bloemspruit area and community involvement is already bearing fruit. On 23 January 2025 at about 16:30, Bloemspruit Crime Prevention members followed up on information about a house in Khayelitsha used for selling drugs. On arrival at the house, members found and arrested a 16-year-old minor busy selling drugs to someone. The minor was arrested for dealing in drugs, and the 36-year-old person who was found buying was also arrested for possession of drugs. The drugs confiscated are crystal meth and mandrax. The two will appear in Bloemfontein Magistrate’s Court on Monday, 27 January 2025, for possession of drugs and dealing in drugs respectively. Ends
