Media Statement KIMBERLEY – The Ministerial Work Session on Redefining and Repositioning Service Offering to SAPS Human Capital, commenced on Wednesday, 12 February 2025 in Boksburg, Gauteng Province. This work session under the theme of nurturing talent from recruitment to retirement, emanates from a directive by the Minister of Police, for SAPS to review various ways of addressing the well-being and productivity within the organisation, with special emphasis placed on the Employee Health and Wellness (EHW) services, disciplinary matters, absenteeism management, financial management and conditions of service. The Northern Cape SAPS Management and EHW employees are forming part of this watershed event to ensure better services offered to the SAPS employees. Lt Colonel Sergio Kock from Corporate Communication and CAC Jermine Petro from Human Resource Utilisation (HRU) units, joined in the virtual discussion and provided inputs pertaining to support available to employees in managing work related stress and shared ways of maintaining a healthy balance between work and family life. The session is expected to conclude on Friday, 14 February 2025 with a consolidated report that will form part of discussions at the National Policing Summit scheduled for later this year. The SAPS continues to strive towards creating a conducive and healthy work environment for all employees. Ends
