Minister Lamola to officiate the opening of the Port Shepstone Magistrate Court

Minister of Justice and Correctional Services, Ronald Lamola, will on Thursday, 22 February 2024, officially open the Port Shepstone magistrate court.
This is in line with the Department of Justice and Constitutional Development’s pursuit of advancing access to justice to diverse communities while further underscoring the Government’s undertaking of regulates justice in a just and proficient approach.
The Port Shepstone court constitutes 16 court rooms that incorporate a High Court, six District Courts, three Regional Courts, two Sexual Offences Courts, two Civil Courts, two Family Courts, a Regional Civil Court as well as an Equality Court. As means to enhance one-stop access to justice, the court will further encompass the Office of the Family Advocate, Master of the High Court, Legal Aid South Africa, South African Police Services as well as the Department of Social Development.
