The Senzo Meyiwa murder trial heard explosive testimony in the High Court in Pretoria as State prosecutor Advocate George Baloyi revealed that accused Bongani Ntanzi made over 1 700 phone calls to his girlfriend while in prison.
This revelation came during Ntanzi’s cross-examination after he previously claimed that his cellphone had been confiscated following his arrest in June 2020. Prosecutors questioned how such a large number of calls could have been made if the phone was not in his possession.
The trial into the 2014 murder of former Bafana Bafana captain Senzo Meyiwa continues with intense cross-examination and new revelations emerging in court.
