Media Advisory from the Office of the Minister of Police PRETORIA – The Minister of Police, Mr Senzo Mchunu, will address members of the media to reflect on the first 100 days in office. The Minister will highlight key achievements of the South African Police Service (SAPS) since the start of the 7th Administration and provide insight into the strategic priorities that lie ahead for the department. As part of the briefing, the Minister will also release the 2nd quarter crime statistics of the 2024/2025 financial year, offering an in-depth analysis of crime trends and efforts by the SAPS to ensure the safety and security of all South Africans. This engagement aims to foster transparency and provide the public with a comprehensive overview of the Ministry’s work and commitment to combating crime and creating safer communities.
