Media Advisory EASTERN CAPE – The efforts by the South African Police Service (SAPS) to expand the footprint of law enforcement in areas with high crime volumes continue throughout the country. Police Minister, General Bheki Cele and the management of the SAPS, led by the National Commissioner of the SAPS, General Fannie Masemola will on Thursday, 23 May 2024, handover the Qhasa police station to service communities in the Alfred Nzo District of the Eastern Cape. The opening of the police station is in line with government’s commitment to bring policing services closer to communities. Members of the media are invited to attend both events which will unfold as follows: QHASA STATION OPENING
