That was the powerful message behind the Masello Lolo Foundation’s 6th Annual Charity Ride, where 251 participants cycled with purpose and helped transform the lives of women rebuilding after gender-based violence.
The annual event has become far more than a charity ride. It is a growing movement that combines fitness, compassion and community action to create lasting change.
Every Entry Changed a Life
This year’s ride delivered a remarkable outcome.
The Foundation donated 251 dignity packs and two sewing machines to the Sinethemba Women’s Organisation.
The numbers were no coincidence.
For every cyclist who registered, one dignity pack was donated.
Every entry became an act of kindness.
Every rider became part of a story of hope.
Instead of simply hosting another sporting event, the Foundation turned participation into direct community impact.
Cycling With Purpose
Participants gathered in Hartbeespoort united by one goal.
To ride for something bigger than themselves.
Founder Masello Lolo, a Member of Parliament and passionate community leader, continues to use the annual Charity Ride to inspire South Africans to give back while promoting healthy living and active lifestyles.
Ahead of the event, the Foundation encouraged participants with a simple message:
“Ride safe, ride strong and enjoy every kilometre while cycling for a purpose to make a difference.”
Those words became reality as cyclists crossed the finish line knowing their participation had already changed lives.

The success of the event was made possible through the support of several organisations, including Mugg & Bean The Village, MTN South Africa, BMW Rustenburg, Royal Excellance Security, Khusela Group, NST Verification Services, 32Gi, Bophelo Emergency Medical Services, Dunkeld Cycles and Ultimate Beauty Spa.
Their partnerships helped ensure the Foundation could continue delivering practical support where it is needed most.
