KIMBERLEY – A 12 year prison sentence was handed down to a robbery accused by the Prieska Regional Court on 27 August 2024. On Friday, 13 October 2023, at approximately 17:30, a 66-year-old woman was attacked on a farm in Marydale, where she was assaulted, and her attacker fled the scene with her belongings. The suspect was traced and arrested the following day near Vanwyksvlei. The case docket was assigned to Detective Warrant Officer Belvian Moseki, and bail was successfully opposed. The court convicted and sentenced 19-year-old Jovelle Jadan Floors to twelve (12) years imprisonment for robbery aggravating, of which two (2) years were suspended for five (5) years. The Provincial and District Management applauded Detective Warrant Officer Belvian Moseki for his thorough investigation that secured the conviction. Ends
