POLOKWANE – The South African Police Service in Mankweng under Capricorn District have launched a search for unknown suspects who committed a murder at Ga-Motholo village on Wednesday 16 April 2025 at about 21:00. Reports suggest that Police were on patrol duties when they received a complaint about a mob attack incident in progress outside the University of Limpopo, Gate 01 and rushed to the vicinity. Upon arrival, they found a male victim estimated to be in his twenties lying on the street with multiple severe visible injuries on the body. The victim was bleeding heavily wearing black Adidas track pants, shoes with red and blue vest. The members of the Emergency Medical Services (EMS) were summoned to the scene and they certified the victim dead upon arrival. The deceased was positively identified at the scene by the next of kin as Peter Nkoana, a resident at Iraq village outside Mankweng. The motive of the incident is unknown at this stage and a massive manhunt has been launched.
