POLOKWANE – Polokwane police in Capricorn District have launched an intensive manhunt following a murder incident in Polokwane on Saturday, 31 August 2024, at about 12:58. According to police reports, they received complaints of murder in Polokwane at Indian Center between Bok and Excelsior Streets. When police arrived at the scene, they discovered an unknown African male lying on the ground with multiple injuries that appeared to have been caused by an assault. The victim was allegedly assaulted by a group of people. Emergency medical service personnel were notified, and the victim was certified dead at the scene. The motive behind the incident is not yet known at this stage, however police investigations will reveal that. Police are urging the public to come forward with information that can identify the victim or assist with the investigation to contact Polokwane Detective Section Commander, Lieutenant Colonel Ngwako Paul Ragophala on 076 481 6301, Crime Stop number 08600 10111, nearest police station, or share information on the MySAPS App. Police investigations are ongoing.
