POLOKWANE – Police in Giyani have initiated a manhunt for suspects involved in a business robbery that occurred at the Spares Shop, located in Giyani CBD, on Saturday, 18 May 2024. Preliminary investigations reveal that the incident took place around midday when four suspects wearing facemasks entered the premises. Two suspects armed with firearms threatened the employees before proceeding to steal an undisclosed amount of cash and two 5 litres of Anti-Freezer. The four suspects also robbed the victims of three cellphones. They then fled the scene in a silver Totoya Etios with an unknown registration number, and no injuries were reported.
Police urge members of the public who may have witnessed the robbery or have any information that could lead to the apprehension of the suspects to come forward and contact Detective Constable fulufhlo Nndwambi on 072 636 6578 or Crime Stop number at 08600 10111. Alternatively, anonymous tips can be sent via the MySAPS app or reported to the nearest police station. All information received will be treated with the utmost confidentiality.
