KIMBERLEY – As the 16 Days of Activism Against Gender Based Violence campaign approaches, the SAPS embraces the 15 year imprisonment sentence that was handed down by the Kimberley Regional Court to Isak Speelman (31) for murder. Family members found her unconscious with severe facial injuries, and she was transported to the hospital, where she later died. Speelman was arrested and sentenced to 15 years imprisonment on 29 October 2024 and declared unfit to possess a firearm.
The Provincial Commissioner Lieutenant General Koliswa Otola commended Detective Sergeant MC Moshotloa of Kimberley SAPS Detectives for his meticulous investigation that led to the sentence.
