Media Statement GAUTENG – On 02 July 2023, the accused, Themba Mthembu was arrested after being caught while busy vandalizing a MTN tower situated at one of the secondary schools in Tokoza. The docket was allocated to Detective Warrant Officer Tshepo Mogashoa of Ekurhuleni South District Essential Infrastructure. Mthembu appeared at Palmridge Court and his bail was successfully denied. He was recently sentenced at Palmridge Regional Court to 12 years imprisonment and declared unfit to possess a firearm. Ekurhuleni District Commissioner, Major General Anna Sithole applauded the member for securing the conviction in ensuring that the scourge of tampering with infrastructure is addressed in the District.
