Media Statement PARKWEG – After a plea for information on the whereabouts of the second suspect possibly linked in the murder and disappearence of the 30-year-old Disebo Portia Mosupa, community members played their part and it yielded results. On 21 July 2024, at about 18:00 an intelligence led information took Bloemfontein Tactical Response Team and Mangaung Detectives to a house in phase 4 Bloemfontein where the 42-year-old suspect was found and arrested. His arrest comes after the body of Disebo was exhumed by forensic investigators after it was discovered in a used grave at the Welkom cemetery One suspect, aged 37, will appear today in the Welkom magistrate court for murder, while this second suspect, 42-year-old will make his first court appearance later also in Welkom.
“We would like to thank our community for providing necessary information which made it possible for the police to trace this second suspect.” Said the Provincial Commissioner, Lt Gen Baile Motswenyane.
