Malispdrift SAPS nabbed eleven suspects and seized unlicensed firearm during operation Vhuthuhawe

POLOKWANE – Police in the Capricorn District have achieved significant successes in their efforts to combat crime during operation Vhuthuhawe executed on Monday 17 March 2025 at Malipsdrift policing area. Eleven suspects were apprehended and one firearm was also recovered during the operation.

The multi-disciplinary operation consisted of Malipsdrift Visible Policing members, Detectives, Tactical Response Team (TRT), Burgersfort and Gauteng K9 Units.

The members executed the operation through stop and searches that led to thirty persons and seventeen vehicles searched. Four ATM’s and two filling stations were visited around fourteen  villages.

The following successes were achieved during the operation:

▶️ 01 Summons issued for employing undocumented foreign national

▶️ 02 Summons for selling counterfeit goods.

▶️ 01 dealing in explosives.

▶️ 01 Summons trading without permit.

▶️ 01 selling liquor without license.

The arrested suspects will appear before Thabamoopo Magistrate’s Court soon facing various offenses.

Police investigations are continuing.
