Jouberton – Tensions have flared up this afternoon in Extension 24, Jouberton after residents took to the streets following an unexpected power outage that struck last night at around 18h00.
The community says the City of Matlosana has yet to provide any explanation or timeline for the restoration of electricity.
Roads have been barricaded with burning tyres and large rocks, residents are demanding answers.
We can’t live like this, especially without communication from the municipality,” one protester who contacted Maklera Magazine over the phone said.
