Media Statement POLOKWANE – The police in Makhado have launched a search operation for a missing man, Piet Gwalindi (64), from Maelula village. It is reported that he went missing on Monday, 11 November 2024, at about 20:30. The complainant, the missing person’s daughter, alleged that on the mentioned date, she was with her father until they all went to sleep. The following morning, the father was not in his bedroom, and his cellphone was off. She delayed reporting him, hoping he would come back however, he has since disappeared. It is not known what he was wearing at the time of his disappearance. Efforts to locate him at places he frequently visited were unsuccessful. The daughter reported a case of a missing person at Makhado police station for further investigation. Police are appealing to anyone with information on his whereabouts to contact Sergeant Muneri Fhumulani Godfrey at 082 944 2286, Crime Stop number 08600 10111, or the nearest police station, or share information on MySAPS App. Police investigations are ongoing.
