POLOKWANE – Members of SAPS in Makhado Family Violence, Child Protection and Sexual Offences Unit (FCS), are investigating a case of rape, following an incident in which a 17-year-old girl, was raped allegedly by two unknown suspects in Madombidza village in Tshilwavhusiku policing area in the early hours of Sunday 31 March 2024 at about 02:00. It is reported that the victim went out to look for her friend at the local liquor outlet when she was approached by four unknown males. Two of the individuals left, and she remained with the two suspects who allegedly threatened and raped her. The suspects thereafter instructed the victim to run for her life. Police were summoned, and a case of rape was opened. The case docket was transferred to Makhado FCS for further Police investigations. The Provincial Commissioner of Limpopo Lieutenent General Thembi Hadebe strongly condemned the incident and urged parents and guardians to remain vigilant about the whereabouts of their children to prevent these type of incidents.
