Major Youth Day national charity expansion unveiled for vulnerable children
In a massive boost for child welfare, CRC Cares has officially announced the return and explosive national expansion of its flagship “Run For Me” Charity Fun Run.
The race is scheduled to take over streets across South Africa on Youth Day, Tuesday, 16 June 2026.
Following a highly successful 2025 debut that drew more than 2 800 participants across just two hubs, the initiative has rapidly scaled up.
This year, it morphs into a massive seven-city national movement explicitly designed to support and champion vulnerable and abandoned children across Mzansi
The 2026 edition is set to bring communities together on a scale never seen before. Organizers have already locked in five major locations for the Youth Day event, with two more surprise hubs on the way:
Midrand (Gauteng)
Bloemfontein (Free State)
George (Western Cape)
Gqeberha (Eastern Cape)
Rustenburg (North West)
Plus two additional locations to be announced soon.
The heavyweight event is hosted by CRC Cares, proudly supported by MANZI Water, and presented in a powerhouse partnership with One Gospel, ensuring massive national visibility for the cause.
This year, the stakes are incredibly high, with a direct and urgent mandate. 100% of the proceeds raised from the nationwide event will be funneled directly into the Talitha Cumi Place of Safety.
The funds will provide life-changing assistance, nutrition, and professional care for children who have been severely abused, abandoned, or placed under emergency provincial care and protection.
Organizers have made it clear that this is not just another corporate fitness day on the calendar, but a ruthless call to action for South Africans to take active responsibility for the youth.
“This Youth Day, we are reminded that the future of our nation depends on how we care for our children; especially the most vulnerable among us,” said Pastor Keshia, Head of CRC Cares.
Pastor Keshia added that the initiative is an active, collective stand against the rising tide of child abandonment and social neglect in the country.
“‘Run For Me’ is more than a charity fun run. It is a call to action that no child should feel abandoned, forgotten, or without hope. Every single step represents compassion in action.”
Whether you are a casual walker, a serious runner, or someone who simply wants to back the cause, entries are set to open nationwide.
