Media Statement POLOKWANE – The SAPS Mahwelereng Detectives are seeking the public’s assistance in locating Malesela Jan Mokubela aged 64, of Sekgakgapeng village who has been missing since Friday, 12 July 2024. Mokubela was last seen on the night of Friday, 12 July 2024 during a celebration held near the initiation school at Moshate Village. According to the reports, the elderly man left with his two friends to the mountains at Moshate village for a celebration on the night before the initiation graduation ceremony. They reportedly left him sleeping inside the vehicle and when they return he was nowhere to be found. There is no description of clothing at the time of his disappearance. Despite ongoing efforts by the police officers and community members, they have been unable to locate him. Police urge anyone with information regarding Mokubela’s whereabouts to come forward and contact the Investigating Officer Warrant Officer Martha Saduke on 061 461 6631 or Crime Stop on 08600 10111 or nearest police station.
