Mahwelereng police investigate a case of murder, manhunt launched for suspects

POLOKWANE – Police in Mahwelereng are investigating a case of murder following an incident where unknown suspects fatally stabbed a 22-year-old man during the early hours of Sunday, 05 May 2024 near a tavern in Mzumbana village.

Police were summoned to the local hospital after the victim succumbed to the injuries. Preliminary information revealed that a group of people who thereafter left brought the victim to the hospital.

Anyone who may have information is requested to contact the investigating officer Sergeant Patrick Munzhedzi on 083 7218 652 or call the Crime Stop number at 08600 10111. Alternatively, members of the public can send information via MySAPS App or contact the nearest Police Station.
