A 36-year-old woman has been arrested in connection with the kidnapping and murder of her 72-year-old father in Mphanama Magagamatlala, near Apel in Limpopo.
The victim, Gisbon Makubung, was reportedly hijacked and abducted from his home four weeks ago. He was discovered two days later inside his vehicle, suffering from serious injuries. He was taken to the hospital but later died.
According to the police, Makubung’s daughter was taken into custody following further investigations. Her arrest comes after a 42-year-old man had already been charged in the case.

Both suspects are scheduled to appear before the Sekhukhune Magistrate’s Court on Tuesday, 22 April 2025. They face multiple charges, including hijacking, kidnapping, murder, and robbery.
