Media Statement POLOKWANE – The South African Police Service in Limpopo emerged victorious as the overall winners at the prestigious Polokwane annual exhibition show, showcasing excellence and innovation in law enforcement. The exhibition was coordinated by Warrant Officer Mosima Lekota attached to the Provincial Corporate Communication and took place from Sunday, 06 May 2024 until Saturday 11 May 2024. The SAPS participants were from the Provincial Components and units that included Corporate Communication, HRD, Career Centre, Library, Flash, Social Crime Prevention, VEP, Water Wing, Serach and Rescue, K9, Mounted, Uniform Shop, ORS, TMS, DPCI, FSL, CR and CSM, Rapid Response Service, Brass band supported by Youth Crime Prevention. The members expressed gratitude for the recognition, attributing their success to the dedication and hard work as well as great collaboration. The event served as a platform for SAPS to showcase their cutting-edge technologies, effective strategies, and community engagement initiatives aimed at enhancing public safety and combating crime. The Provincial Commissioner of the SAPS in Limpopo Lieutenant General Thembi Hadebe, has applauded all the role players who participated in the event for the excellent work and demonstrating team work which is crucial in this type of events. “We are honoured to be recognized as the overall winners at such esteemed exhibition.This achievement reflects our commitment to excellence and innovation in serving and protecting our communities.” said Lieutenant General Hadebe. The SAPS also extends appreciation to all stakeholders, partners, and the public for their continuous support and collaboration in ensuring safer communities for all. The victory reaffirms SAPS’s position as a leading law enforcement agency, committed to leveraging modern tools and strategies to uphold law and order across South Africa.
