POLOKWANE – As Christmas Day and New Year approaches, the Provincial Commissioner of Police in Limpopo, Lieutenant General Thembi Hadebe, has reassured residents that they can look forward to a safer festive season. The law enforcement agencies in the province have increased their presence to ensure the safety and security of all residents, holiday makers and business community. Lieutenant General Thembi Hadebe has authorized the deployment of additional officers to patrol high-traffic areas, including shopping centres, public transportation hubs, and tourist attractions. Additionally, roadblocks have been set up to prevent drunk driving and other criminal activities. The Provincial Commissioner, Lieutenant General Thembi Hadebe emphasized that all necessary measures have been put in place to ensure a joyful and safe festive season for everyone. These measures include increased police visibility in high-risk areas, enhanced surveillance and intelligence gathering, improved response times to emergency calls, and collaboration with other law enforcement agencies to prevent cross-border crimes Residents are also urged to remain vigilant and take necessary precautions to ensure their safety. They are encouraged to report any suspicious activities to the authorities and to take care of their personal belongings, especially in crowded areas. Ends
