POLOKWANE – The Provincial Commissioner of Police in Limpopo Lieutenant General Thembi Hadebe has strongly condemned the shooting incident that left one man dead and other four patrons injured. The Provincial Commissioner has ordered the team of investigators to use the available resources to hunt for the trigger happy suspect who fired shots at the tavern during a live music performance. The information at Police disposal, suggest that on Saturday 19 April 2025 at around 00:15, the tavern owner was fatally shot while on the entrance of the premises. It is reported that the victim sustained gunshots as the assailant fired several shots hitting him on his upper body. He was taken to the nearby hospital where he was certified dead. Four more victims were also shot, sustained injuries and had to be admitted to hospital where they are receiving medical assistance. One of the four victims was treated and discharged. Marble Hall Police were summoned to the scene and on their arrival, they found several spent cartridges and projectiles on the scene. The suspect is unknown at this stage. The motive of this senseless attack is also unknown.
