Media Statement POLOKWANE – SAPS Limpopo Communications and Liaison Officer, Sergeant Tsietsi Lamola joined by Mr Ntjana, PRO of Bochum Taxi Association in conjunction with the Department of Transport and Community Safety represented by the Road Safety Officers, Ms Rosemary Mphela and Mr David Baloyi, continue with illegal mining awareness campaigns through radio interviews in a bid to heighten community members’ level of awareness. On Thursday 28 March 2024 at about 12:30 Sergeant Tsietsi Lamola visited Blouberg Community Radio Station during the program called Blouberg Talk Afternoon Drive, raising awareness of illegal mining hosted by Ms Winny Mogale outlining the following issues:
The message flows with the theme “Stop Illegal Mining, if you SEE something, SAY something, Illegal Mining is Crime. Listeners were encouraged to report illegal mining activities and any other criminal activities to the police by using Crime Stop number 08600 10111 alternatively forward anonymous tip-off to MySAPS App or to report to the nearest Police Station.
