Limpopo police have arrested nine suspects involved in a series of ATM bombings between 2023 and 2025
The operation, which involved multiple law enforcement teams and a private security company, led to their capture after their latest attacks on two ATMs.
The suspects, who engaged in a shootout with police while fleeing, were intercepted on the R81 highway as they tried to escape to Gauteng.
Authorities recovered explosives, illegal firearms, ammunition, and dye-stained money from their vehicles.
The suspects, aged 28 to 43, face charges including possession of firearms, explosives, and contravening the Immigration Act.
They will appear in court soon.
