Media Statement UPINGTON – The Family Violence, Child Protection and Sexual Offences Unit in Kakamas is in search of a suspect in an alleged rape case that occurred on 26 January 2025 near Voortrekker Street in Kakamas. The suspect attacked the victim and her boyfriend on the said date and later returned and raped the victim. An identikit of the suspect was compiled and he is estimated to be in his late 20s to early 30s, a coloured male, speaking Setswana and Afrikaans. The police are requesting the assistance of the public and any person who may have information that will lead to the arrest of the suspect, and contact the investigating officer, Constable Lesego Mokati on 079 697 7836.
