Chiefs reshuffle the defence as Duba is left out in Polokwane
Kaizer Chiefs coach Fernando Da Cruz has shaken up the side that edged Siwelele FC 3-2 last weekend — and striker Wandile Duba has been left out of the matchday squad.
Amakhosi escaped with all three points, but Da Cruz was far from impressed with the performance. For Saturday’s trip to Polokwane City at the Old Peter Mokaba Stadium, he has rung the changes.
Zitha Kwinika drops to the bench as Thabo Moloisane shifts to centre-back. Bradley Cross returns at left-back, Reeve Frosler starts on the right, and Inacio Miguel keeps his place in central defence.
Sibongiseni Mthethwa is restored in midfield alongside Lebohang Maboe and Siphesihle Ndlovu. Up front, Pule Mmodi, Mfundo Vilakazi and Etiosa Ighidaro lead the line in a 4-3-3.
Chiefs XI: Petersen; Frosler, Cross, Moloisane, Miguel; Ndlovu, Maboe, Mthethwa; Mmodi, Vilakazi, Ighidaro
Subs: Leaner, Solomons, Mako, Kwinika, Mtasingwa, Shabalala, Velebayi, Baartman, Abrahams
