Jaguar TCS Racing reserve and test drivers confirmed

Pretoria, 13 January 2023: Jaguar TCS Racing has introduced that Swede, Joel Eriksson and Frenchman, Tom Dillmann, will each be reserve, test and simulator drivers for the British racing workforce for the 2023 ABB FIA Formula E World Championship.

Tom and Joel will give attention to key roles within the simulator in Oxfordshire and testing of the lighter, sooner, extra environment friendly Jaguar I-TYPE 6, to make sure its competitiveness.

Eriksson raced in Formula 4, Formula 3 European Championship and DTM earlier than competing within the Formula E rookie test in Marrakesh for DS Virgin Racing in 2018. The 24-year-old went on to be named the official test and reserve driver for Dragon Racing in 2019 and took half in his second Formula E rookie test. He made his debut within the ABB FIA Formula E World Championship within the 2021 Puebla E-Prix for Dragon Penske Autosport and then completed the ultimate seven races of the season for the workforce.

33-year-old Tom Dillmann has been a significant member of Jaguar TCS Racing for the final two seasons and continues with the British racing workforce into the Gen3 period. Dillmann has been racing for the reason that early 2000s and has competed in round 300 races throughout that point. Tom’s profession highlights embrace being topped champion of the 2016 Formula V8 3.5 collection and 2010 German Formula 3. Dillmann isn’t any stranger to Formula E having competed in 23 E-Prix since 2017 with the Venturi and NIO Formula E groups.

The reserve and test drivers be a part of a formidable duo in Mitch Evans and Sam Bird who deliver very important continuity and consistency to the workforce.

Jaguar TCS Racing will race in Mexico City on 14 January for the primary spherical of the 2023 ABB FIA Formula E World Championship. South Africa will host the fifth spherical in Cape Town on 25 February.
