Jacob Zuma celebrated his 83rd birthday on Saturday with a lavish gathering that brought together his family and supporters from the UMkhonto WeSizwe Party (MKP). The former president was joined by his wives, including MaKhumalo and MaNgema, at an intimate event where the birthday cake was decorated in the party’s green, black, and yellow colors.

While the location of the celebration was not disclosed, the MKP released a statement praising Zuma’s legacy, highlighting his dedication to the liberation struggle, his imprisonment on Robben Island, and his lifelong service to the people of South Africa. The party described him as a symbol of resilience, sacrifice, and unwavering commitment.
Despite expectations, Zuma did not appear at a public birthday event held at the Eshowe Oval Sport Ground in KwaZulu-Natal, leaving many attendees puzzled. Nevertheless, the party continued to honor him, describing his leadership as pivotal in the fight against neo-colonialism, imperialism, and racism.
The statement concluded by reaffirming the party’s support for Zuma as their current leader and celebrating his continued dedication to justice and equality.
