International pop star Celina Sharma embraces her roots and artistic evolution with new EP ‘Chapter 2’
International pop sensation Celina Sharma has officially entered a profound new artistic era with the release of her highly anticipated five-track EP, Chapter 2.
Available now via gamma, the project marks the first major fruits of a strategic partnership between ERA Music and the US-based music and media powerhouse.
At 24 years old, the Sydney-born, London-based singer-songwriter is moving deliberately beyond the bright commercial pop sounds of her early career.
Boasting more than 250 million total streams and a dedicated base of 625,000 monthly listeners, Sharma’s new body of work leans into a mature, ballad-driven sonic landscape to explore deeply personal themes of faith, family, identity, loss, and emotional resilience.
At the absolute center of Chapter 2 is the standout single “Centre of Peace,” which features the legendary Indian vocalist Sonu Nigam.
Released on 21 August, the track serves as the EP’s anchor and its only collaborative effort.
Originally conceptualized as an English-language ballad detailing Sharma’s relationship with God, the song evolved into a stunning tribute to her Indian heritage, complete with traditional Indian instrumentation recorded live in Mumbai.
By pairing her contemporary pop sensibilities with Nigam’s iconic, instantly recognizable vocals, the record acts as a vital bridge reconnecting Sharma to her ancestral roots.
The global star’s ties to South Africa also continue to strengthen.
Following her spectacular performance in Cape Town alongside R&B star Ella Mai earlier in 2026, Sharma has steadily expanded her African footprint while concurrently building massive audiences across Japan, the United Kingdom, and various global markets.
Reflecting on the emotional weight of her new music, Celina Sharma shares:
“Chapter 2 feels like the first time I’ve really allowed people into my world. I left home at 16 to follow this dream. There have been some amazing milestones, but also moments that challenged me in ways I never expected. This project is about all of it; growing up, finding myself, and understanding that even the difficult moments shape who you are. I know myself so much better now as both a person and an artist.”
Sharma’s rise to international prominence has been nothing short of meteoric.
First gaining widespread industry attention at just 17 when she was named a BBC Future Sound—becoming the youngest recipient of the honor at the time—she quickly solidified her status as a global hitmaker.
Her massive 2021 collaborative track “24/7” alongside Harris J went on to surpass 300 million streams and ignited a viral storm that generated over 7 billion views on TikTok.
Over the years, her versatile vocal talent has seen her work with a diverse array of global heavyweights, including Rich The Kid, Stonebwoy, Ivorian Doll, Not3s, and Emiway Bantai. Her cinematic contributions are equally impressive.
She famously wrote and performed “Nach Mera Hero” for the soundtrack of Marvel’s Eternals, and more recently contributed to the creation of hitmaker Zedd’s album Telos, earning her a share in a prestigious Grammy nomination.
Ultimately, Chapter 2 is a beautifully balanced showcase of a multicultural identity, soaring vocal capabilities, and unfiltered storytelling.
It stands as a testament to how far Celina Sharma has traveled on her global journey, and offers an exciting glimpse into the fully realized artist she is still becoming.
