Media Statement POLOKWANE – Three male suspects aged between 34 and 52 were arrested on Friday, 28 February 2025 at about 21:00, following a robbery incident committed at Makhado policing last month. The suspects are alleged to have utilized a rented motor vehicle to target hitchhikers while at hiking spots. Intensive police investigations were put in motion which have led to their apprehension between Kgapane Cross and Modjadjiskloof T-Junction under Mopani District. Cellphones belonging to the victims and properties were also found in their possession. In addition, the suspects might be linked with other cases of robberies emanating from hitchhiking in the Modjadjiskloof policing area committed since the commencement of this year 2025. The trio is expected to appear before the Modjadjiskloof Magistrate’s Court on 03 March 2025. Police investigations are continuing. Ends
