Media Statement PARKWEG – Police are looking for family after the body of a male was found in the open field near Tempe. On 19 December 2024 at about 17:20, a member of the public was busy collecting wood near Tempe Military base when he made a gruesome discovery of the body of a male lying motionless in the veld. Emergency personnel and police were summoned to the scene and he was declared deceased. The cause of death will be determined by the pending post-mortem. Parkweg police found an identity card in his trousers with the names Ruciano Bester. The deceased, according to his identity number, he is 20-years-old. He was dressed in dark grey trousers, a blue tshirt with a blue sweater. Police opened an inquest for further investigation and are pleading with anyone who might be related to the deceased or know their next of kin, to contact Captain Moseme of Parkroad Detective Services on 082 526 2713 or call Crime Stop on 08600 10111.
