Inquest docket opened after a foreign national jumped off the building and died
Police in Durban Central in KwaZulu-Natal (KZN) have opened an inquest docket for investigation following an incident in which a foreign national was found dead, allegedly after he jumped from the 8th floor of a building on Margaret Mncadi Avenue in Durban on Monday night.
Reports indicate that three foreign nationals had broken into a storage facility and were staying there for three days.
According to police reports on Monday night, they reportedly heard noises and concluded that they were being targeted.
One of them jumped from the 8th floor and sustained broken limbs. He was declared dead at the scene. One of them ran away whilst the other remained.
The deceased and the other person’s status in the country is in the process of verification.
