Husband arrested for the murder of his wife

TROMPSBURG – On 01 June 2024 at about 18:20 Trompsburg police were summoned to a house in Madikgetla on a report of an assault.

On arrival at the scene, members found the Emergency medical personnel already busy with a 35-year-old woman who was lying on the bed.  The female victim was declared dead by the first responders at the scene.

Preliminary investigations revealed that the couple was allegedly seen fighting before police and paramedics were called. The deceased had a swollen face and bleeding.  Circumstances that led to the fight is part of investigation.

The 36-year-old husband was arrested by Trompsburg police for murder and he will appear in court soon.  Investigations continue.
