Cometh the hour, cometh the man! Monnapule Saleng was once again the difference for Orlando Pirates in the victory over Cape Town City.
The winger scored a trademark bottom far-corner goal to seal a stunning comeback victory over the Citizens on Saturday afternoon.
Saleng has now scored an impressive 14 goals in all competitions for Orlando Pirates so far this season!

He also has five more assists to add to his total goal contributions this season.
The former Free State Stars winger has been one of the hottest players in the PSL this season.
Orlando Pirates are reportedly deep in negotiations with star man Monnapule Saleng over a new contract at the club.
And considering his form, the Buccaneers will undoubtedly be desperate to hold onto him for many years to come.

According to reports, a new long-term contract is being negotiated however no agreement has been reached just yet!

“It’s not a done deal. It’s a proposal for a further three-year straight contract and one-year option. It will all depend on the talks between the two sides.” – an insider told SoccerLaduma regarding the Orlando Pirates star’s situation.
“You should remember that when he joined the team from Free State Stars he was not a top player like he is now and that’s why he was loaned out to Swallows FC.
“Now with his performances this season, things have changed and his value too has risen. So as much as it is just a proposal for now, it will mean alot to both the team and the player. But as I have said, it’s not a done deal yet.”

In other news, Orlando Pirates fans went into panic mode after talisman Thembinkosi Lorch wasn’t named in their squad for Saturday’s clash against Cape Town City.
Lorch recently returned from a lengthy injury layoff, and made an immediate impact at the club.
His absence however has since been explained by head coach Jose Riveiro who confirmed the diminutive winger is injured.
The extent of the injury doesn’t seem to be too perturbing according to the Spanish coach

Bucs star’s absence explained
According to local publication IdiskiTimes, Lorch suffered a hip injury in training.
“We hoping to see him back as soon as possible and actually I think it’s a minor thing but it happened too close to the game so we didn’t have a margin to solve it.” the Orlando Pirates coach said as quoted by the publication.
“S yeah, we’re happy with him, he’s finding joy during the games and during the week [at training] and we all benefit from that obviously.”
