Media Statement NELSPRUIT – Police in Mmametlhake request the public to help reunite a Joel Serame Makena (81) of Pankop Greenside Section in Mmametlhake with his family. According to information, Makena was last seen on Saturday, 18 May 2024, at about 12:00. According to his family, Makena left home to visit the headman but he reportedly never arrived. On the same day, around 14h00, the family with the help from the community, began to search for him but with no success. The only information that was received was that he was seen at a certain tuckshop in a nearby village called Phake Rankaila. Several search attempts by his family members and other rescue teams were conducted but unsuccessful. He was last time seen wearing a pair of navy blue tracksuit pants and a top with formal black shoes and a grey green cap. Police therefore urge anyone with information that may assist in finding Makenna to contact Detective Captain Solomon Moshime of Mmametlhake SAPS on 082 065 1355 or call the Crime Stop on 08600 10111.
