HEAD-ON COLLISION BETWEEN A TRUCK AND A MINIBUS CLAIM LIVES ON N1
NYL TOLL GATE: The Limpopo Department of Transport and Community Safety confirms a road accident on the N1 North, approximately 10 km from the Nyl Plaza Toll Gate.
The accident involves a Hyundai H1 minibus and a tank truck. Reports indicate that there are injuries and an unconfirmed number of fatalities.
The N1 North is currently closed to traffic as emergency personnel attend to the scene.
The Emergency Medical Services (EMS), the South African Police Service (SAPS), and Traffic officials are on site managing the situation and ensuring the safety of road users.
Motorists are advised to use alternative routes:
- From Modimolle: Use the YPres off-ramp.
- From Mokopane: Use the Zebediela off-ramp.
