HAWKS SEEK PUBLIC ASSISTANCE REGARDING A POLICE KILLING
On 14 October 2022 Warrant Officer Moalusi attached to the Hawks’ Serious Organised Crime was murdered in Duduza, Nigel.
Warrant Officer Moalusi had taken a state car to the car wash and when he returned later that evening to pick up the vehicle from the car wash, the officer was accosted by two (2) unknown suspects who fatally shot at the officer and certified dead at the scene.
The suspects then robbed the deceased officer of his service pistol, the state vehicle (a Toyota Hilux) and two cell phones. The state vehicle was later found abandoned in Tsakane Ext 6.
It is believed that Jojo Edumundo David Mondlana (picture attached) might be of assistance with information relating to this case. The Directorate for Priority Crime Investigation in Gauteng is appealing to members of the public who may have information on the whereabouts of Mondlana to contact the investigating officer Warrant Officer Frederick Jacob Reubenheimer on 082 778 9390 or anonymously call Crime Stop on 0860 10111.
