NORTHERN CAPE – The rural remote areas often experience challenges in receiving services and information due to a lack of infrastructure and vastness of the area. The SAPS in those areas makes an effort to bring such services to the people. The members of Rietfontein and Witdraai SAPS have since embarked on a GBVF campaign where they visited clinics and other centres, engaging with women and providing information that could potentially assist in curbing the scourge of GBVF. They partnered with the Department of Health, Department of Social Development, NGOs, CPF, and its structures to bring the information across. They also assisted with other services respective to each department. The people were delighted and appreciated the information and services that were provided by the officials from different departments. Ends
