HUMANSDORP – The successful execution of an intelligence driven operation resulted in the arrest of four suspects for dealing in drugs and the recovery of illicit drugs (mandrax and tik) with an estimated street value of R27 800.00. It is alleged that on Wednesday 11 December, Sarah Baartman District Intervention Team, Makhanda Crime Intelligence Unit and Highway patrol members operationalised information that was gathered and successfully executed search warrants in Humansdorp and Joubertina. Four (4) suspects between the ages of 24 and 53 were arrested for dealing in drugs. The suspects are due to appear before the Humansdorp Magistrate court on charges of dealing in drugs soon. Sarah Baartman District Commissioner applauded members involved for the good work done. “Intelligence driven operations continue to be successful in removing illicit drugs from the streets. We want to encourage the public to come forward with information that we can act upon and free communities from illicit drugs.” Major General Zolani Xawuka concluded. Ends
