KAIZER CHIEFS TARGET BAFANA BAFANA PLAYERS
According to iDiski Times, Amakhosi’s new coach Nasreddine Nabi is keen on signing Bafana and Polokwane City winger Oswin Appollis after the 22-year-old delivered seven goals and five assists in 35 games last season.
Additionally, Kaizer Chiefs are also keeping eyes on Appollis’ Bafana teammate Elias Mokwana with four goals and five assists in 35 appearances last term. Cape Town Spurs winger Asanele Velebayi, 21, is also a target. The Phillipi-born winger recently impressed in Bafana colours at the COSAFA Cup this month.
“On the weekend, Nasreddine Nabi was finally unveiled officially as Kaizer Chiefs coach, meeting the players at their camp in Türkiye,” the outlet reported in this week’s digital newspaper copy.
“With Amakhosi still quiet in the transfer market, it is believed that the Tunisian is keen on the club following up on their interest in Polokwane City and Bafana Bafana star Oswin Appollis, who Chiefs have been linked with since the 22-year-old started shining last year. Appollis’ stature has grown in leaps and bounds over the past 12 months, and word is Nabi has endorsed him as a target. Chiefs have also been linked with other Bafana stars, including Sekhukhune United’s Elias Mokwana and Cape Town Spurs’ Asanele Velebayi, who just featured at the Cosafa Cup,” the report added.
