Forensic results positively linked to reported missing Sibongile Portia Ngwana

MANGAUNG – The investigation team received forensic Lab results, after the remains of a female were found on the M10.  It was reported that they might be of a reported missing Sibongile Portia Ngwana.

This is after a missing person file was opened on Tuesday 28 November 2023, at Mangaung Police Station and further investigations led to the arrest of two suspects aged 27 and 33 years respectively for murder.  The two were remanded in custody for further investigation and to acquire DNA results.

The charred remains were found on 04 January 2024 and on 05 June 2024, the team received the report confirming that indeed those remains are of Sibongile Portia Ngwana.

The two suspects will appear again in the Bloemfontein Magistrate court on 18 June 2024.  Investigation continues.
