Foreign National appears in Worcester Magistrate’s Court on numerous charges of murder and attempted murder

CAPE TOWN – On 12 December 2024, a foreign national, aged 29, was arrested on multiple charges including murder, attempted murder, business robbery and extortion. All cases are taxi related and occurred in the De Doorns area. These cases are being investigated by the Provincial Detectives Serious and Violent Crimes Taxi Unit.

The deputy minister’s visit and imbizo in De Doorns earlier this year brought to light the suspect’s dominance in the Worcester area.

The suspect was initially taken into custody earlier this week in Johannesburg and was escorted to De Doorns for investigations, and detained at Worcester SAPS.

Intelligence led to the interviewing of numerous witnesses whom identified more related cases.

He will appear in Worcester Magistrate’s Court on today on the mentioned charges.
