Media Statement WESTERN CAPE – Members attached to Maitland Flying Squad’s vigilance and persistence were rewarded when they arrested four men between the ages 21 and 32 in connection with a business robbery which was perpetrated in the Elsies River policing precinct on Wednesday, 11 December 2024. The members performed crime prevention duties in Mfuleni when they were alerted about the robbery. Being on the lookout, they spotted a vehicle which were described to have been involved in the business robbery. The members pulled over the vehicle with four occupants inside and ensued with a search resulting in the discovery of an imitation firearm, an undisclosed amount of cash and a cellular phone which were connected to the robbery. The four men were arrested and are scheduled to make their first court appearance in the Goodwood Magistrates’ court once charged.
