Firefighters in Cape Town are continuing efforts to contain a wildfire burning across Table Mountain.
The fire began on Friday in the Tokai area and has since spread rapidly, reaching parts of Boyes Drive, Kalk Bay, and Fish Hoek. On the Ou Kaapse Weg side, flames have moved toward Noordhoek.
By Monday morning, officials reported no overnight flare-ups, though teams remained on the fire lines throughout the night. Helicopters are expected to be deployed after further assessments.
One female firefighter was injured while battling the blaze and has been taken to the hospital.
Authorities are closely monitoring the situation and have urged the public to avoid affected areas. An Incident Management Team has been activated to oversee the operation with crews working on 12-hour shifts.

Several roads remain closed, including Main Road and Boyes Drive, Main Road in Lakeside, Main Road and Clairvaux, Noordhoek and Old Kaapse Weg/Boyes Drive, and Steenberg and Tokai Road near the circle.
Firefighting efforts have been divided into five sectors to manage the fire more effectively, considering wind conditions. Evacuations have taken place, including the relocation of 198 households from Noordhoek Manor, along with 48 frail care residents. Residents from Barnyard and Silwersteen areas also chose to evacuate.
Donations such as water, energy drinks, and non-perishable food items are being collected at Lakeside Fire Station to support the firefighters.
